Our Story
At the conclusion of the life of a beloved man, Bless Another was formed. As a father of five kids, Brian still found time to selflessly serve those around him—from helping a family repair their farm after a California wildfire, to teaching English to Venezuelans. Upon experiencing sudden back pain, Brian was admitted to the hospital where doctors quickly assessed that he was suffering from a rare blood disorder called Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). By the following day, Brian was placed on life support due to his aggressively deteriorating condition and would need to be transported to a specialized hospital where he was expected to steadily recover through extended treatment. Unfortunately, less than two weeks later, Brian passed away surrounded by his teary loved ones as his favorite hymns softly filled the room.
It was Brian’s belief that everyone belonged to a global family and, as such, treated everyone like a dear relative. He believed that “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” We too share this belief. To commemorate and perpetuate the love he had for us, others, and Jesus Christ, the Bless Another project was born.
The Life of Brian
When all is said and done, when the embers of this life are extinguished, the only parts of us that live on in this world are the memories and feelings that we impressed upon others.
